I attended the weight loss class at BREAKTHRU and found it informative and the staff very supportive. I lost 30 lbs and would recommend it to anyone interested in losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

I took the weight loss class at BREAKTHRU and really enjoyed it. I managed to lose quite a bit of weight by using the new strategies they teach you. Our instructor made it fun, enjoyable and easy to understand and apply.

I have been on many diets – NutriSystem, Jenny Craig, Weight
Watchers, Diet Center, L.A. Weight Loss and several others –
grapefruit diet, 3 day diets, etc. I lost weight on all of
the above; however, as we often hear, I gained weight back.
When I went to BREAKTHRU’s Weight Management classes, it was the
FIRST time I learned and understood why I personally gained
weight and then she helped me solve my own individual weight
challenges. The Class was wonderful (and never judgmental) in
helping us learn ways to overcome our individual
eating behaviors that contributed to our inability to lose
weight and most importantly, keep it off.
I can’t recommend the class too highly – At every session we
were given a handout covering a wide range of information –
i.e., buying food, reading labels, night eating, nibbling,
what kind of overeater are you, etc. There were always
questionnaires to complete but which were for “your own eyes
only.” If you wanted the group or the instructor to see your form,
you were always free to share. The “emergency” food packs
were fun and totally helpful.
The program did not recommend or criticize any particular diet but
tried to guide you based on your own personal and body needs
to find the most appropriate life style and eating pattern
for you.
In sum; this is the best and most informed weight management program I
have encountered and I cannot recommend the class too highly.
It is an eye-opener!!!!!!! And for the first time, helped me
see what and why I had been so unsuccessful in the past. The program
presented a new way of thinking and living. We are all alike
but we are also different and this is why I had to learn how
to change my OWN eating behaviors in order for me to lose
weight and keep it off – what works for me may not work for
someone else – this you have to discover and the BREAKTHRU Weight Management program, for me,
was the way to this knowledge.
I lost 9.5
pounds during the class and have now lost 4 more. I am NOT
on a diet -- I just avoid certain foods and behaviors (night
eating and nibbling) which I learned are bad for me
personally.
