Tai Chi has to be the best sort of exercise class I have taken in my adult life. I may no longer be able or willing to Spin, Step, Pump or bend my body into a pretzel but I can do Tai Chi which allows me a full body work out in a slow, controlled, pain free environment. No wonder people have been doing this stuff for years!
One hour of peaceful, painless, controlled stretching in the traditional gentle movements has increased not only my balance, flexibility and agility but I have found it to be a wonderful stress reducer and look forward to this hour class every week.
The slow fluid movements of Tai Chi are great for easing sore joints and muscles and slowly building some muscle strength. It has helped my arthritis and improved my range of motion and is a lot of fun too.
