Winter is here and with it the cold weather!  Whether you love to get out and play in the snow or just dread shoveling the stuff, it is important that everyone be active in staying a step ahead of all those aches and pains that can come with the colder temperatures and to do our best to maintain our health to help avoid colds and flu.

Some of the things we can all do are to eat a healthy diet, exercise, and keep our bodies in the best condition possible. Massage is one of the best ways to assist in all of these areas.

When feeling the pain of muscle fatigue from either shoveling or skiing for example, a massage can be helpful in the relief and recovery from those aches and pains, as well as prevent further discomfort or injury.

Massage is also helpful to the immune system by increasing blood flow and circulating the lymphatic system. Another benefit of massage is that it can reduce stress and as we all know, this can be a very stressful time of year. A massage can be a rewarding experience on many different levels.
Although massage is a useful tool in dealing with the every-day grind all year long, getting a massage during these cold days of winter would be especially beneficial.  So be mindful of yourself and those around you, and have a healthy, happy winter season.

Namaste!
