BREAKTHRU is proud to announce that Dr. Kevin Schnitzer will be leading our Medford office as our new facility director. He has been managing our Moorestown office for the past three years and has done an excellent job providing the highest quality physical therapy care. Kevin had worked in the Medford office originally and we are excited to have him back. Along with managing the office, Kevin will continue to maintain a full caseload in order to best serve your patients.

Dr. Kevin Schnitzer earned his Bachelor’s in Science in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. He also received his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and spent time working as a personal trainer. His final internship was here at BREAKTHRU where he made a name for himself early, getting excellent results on complicated patients. Kevin brings a fresh view and philosophy to his treatments. With the quality of care he provides, his dedication to patient satisfaction, and his love for orthopaedic, sports physical therapy, and paediatrics, he is an excellent asset here at BREAKTHRU. He has developed a specific interest and specialty in pediatric and adolescent orthopedics and sports medicine.

Kevin takes a holistic approach to physical therapy and desires to help patients make lifestyle changes as needed to aid in healing and prevent recurrence of problems. He chooses to focus on the overall health of the patient, promoting independent exercise and fitness routines. His experience with advanced exercise physiology, biomechanics, and anatomy help him design the personalized therapeutic and fitness programs for his patients.

Kevin places a high value on education with a strong desire to better his care through continuing education and staying current on the latest research. He recognizes the importance of educating all parties involved in patient care including the patient, their family, doctors, and other therapists. He has participated in several educational lectures including back pain prevention, ACL injury prevention, core strengthening for runners, and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. He has been serving as an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he assists in teaching physical therapy students musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physical therapy. Kevin participated in track and field in high school and enjoys martial arts. He received his black belt in jujitsu and was a national freestyle champion in 2001. Kevin and his beautiful wife Heather have a son Samuel and are currently living in Mt. Laurel.

His clinical expertise and dedication to quality patient care further enhance the BREAKTHRU experience for our patients. Kevin values the benefits of communication between our offices and looks forward to collaborating with you to provide your patients with exceptional individualized care in an effort to help them achieve optimal function without pain.
